Make sure your passport and other travel documents are updated. Check this Canada government website for details about what you need. U.S. citizens: It can take 6–8 weeks to get your passport, and you need one to enter Canada. You can apply for an expedited passport for an extra $60. Learn more about U.S. passports.

Getting into Canada with a DUI is not as simple as showing up at the border with a valid passport. If you have ever been arrested or convicted for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, regardless of whether it was a misdemeanor or felony offense, you may be criminally inadmissible to Canada and denied entry. Fortunately, there are steps you can take NOW to avoid a hassle.

Safety: Toronto is considered to be one of the safest cities in the world. In 2024, a ranking of 60 large cities by The Economist ranked Toronto as the 6th safest major city in the world, and the safest major city in North America.

Toronto Pearson (YYZ) Airport serves most major cities around the world, and is about 28 km/17.6 miles from our headquarters hotel. Several taxi companies provide service from the airport to our hotel; rideshare services Lyft and Uber are also available. Another option is the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, which is just 3 km/1.86 miles from the hotel; this smaller airport provides service from most major cities in Canada plus a few U.S. cities (including Newark, Boston, Chicago-Midway, and Washington-Dulles).

Parking at the Hotel is extremely limited! There are two parking garages in close walking distance of the hotel. We do not recommend driving large vehicles if you can avoid it.

Things to Do in Toronto: Check out our blog post or visit the Destination Toronto website.

Business Casual. Meeting rooms tend to be cool, so bring a sweater or light jacket with you. The weather in Toronto is typically cool in November, with highs in the upper 40s°F/low 50s°F and lows in the upper 30s°F. The month of November typically sees little rain. Toronto is the southernmost point in Canada, and is further south than several major U.S. cities—including Seattle, Portland (Maine and Oregon), Minneapolis, and Boston.

What Else Should You Pack?

Business cards, a jacket and hat for chilly nights, and comfortable shoes.

Check-in: 4:00 p.m. or later

Check-out: Before 11:00 a.m.

Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis with all room types going at the same PSAI-discounted rate of $275/night (CAD). If you're coming from the U.S., the exchange rate is usually pretty favorable; when we wrote this, the rate was approximately $201/night in U.S. currency.

Make your reservation now!

Note: You may cancel your reservation up to 24 hours prior to your stay at no charge. If you wish to reserve extra nights and/or an alternate room type at the hotel, or should rooms not be showing as available, please contact Reservations at One King West direct by phone (866-470-KING (5464) / 416-548-8100), or by email (reservations@onekingwest.com), using the group name 2024 PSAI International Conference.

Overnight parking is valid to 12:00 noon on day of departure; thereafter an additional charge will apply. Parking rates are subject to change without notice. Please be advised that due to physical limitations of the hotel's on-site parking facilities, oversized vehicles cannot be accommodated. Self-park options are available within walking distance of the hotel. Event parking is on a self-park basis.

March 2024, 46 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands offer early in-person voting to all voters (this includes states with all-mail elections). Four states—Alabama, Delaware, Mississippi and New Hampshire—do not offer early in-person voting, though they may provide options for eligible absentee voters. Use this map from the National Conference of State Legislatures to see what is allowed in your state or territory. You can also check with the county where you live for more detailed information.
