Meet the Candidates (Operators)
As PSAI members prepare to cast their votes in this year’s Board of Directors election, it’s time to get to know the Operator candidates who are stepping up to lead. These individuals bring diverse experience, a deep understanding of the portable sanitation industry, and a shared commitment to PSAI’s mission and future.
Andrew Howell, Best Portable Toilets
I have helped grow companies my entire career and have a passion for building better businesses. I currently am the co-owner of Best Portable Toilets in Des Moines, IA and serve as the Chief Financial Officer. Before owning Best Portable Toilets, I worked to grow small to mid-sized companies in various industries as both a consultant and as a professional financial manager in businesses owned by large institutional capital providers, mostly in turnaround or restructuring situations. Prior to that, I worked in public accounting as a Manager at CLA providing financial support services privately owned small to mid-sized businesses.
I would be a good addition to the board because I bring a fresh perspective to the industry. I just started in portable sanitation 10 months ago and the resources PSAI has provided have been invaluable to us as new operators in the business. Anyone that has been around me would describe me as passionate. I bring energy and passion to everything I do. I believe as an industry we can do better in promoting the next generation of young leaders and giving them the tools and opportunities to succeed and it’s the job of the PSAI to promote and encourage that. I would love the opportunity to be part of board and help grow and represent our industry!
Will Niccolls, Green Latrine Portable Toilets
Hi, my name is Will Niccolls, and I really appreciate you taking a moment to read this. I own and operate Green Latrine Portable Toilets in Seattle, Washington, where I was born and raised. I am 45 years old, have a 15-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son who have grown up in our industry. One of the best things we do as owners of portable toilet companies is teach our kids how cool it is to work hard and run a great company. In our industry, there is only one way to make money and that’s by doing two things really well: serving our clients and serving our employees. I started Green Latrine in 2015 and now a decade later we have 35 exceptional employees, 18 trucks and over 2,000 pieces of equipment in our rental inventory, including 5 luxury restroom trailers. We are launching a septic pumping division this fall. Our General Manager and our lead driver have both been here since the beginning. I’m so proud we have built a culture that makes people grateful to work here.
I’m running for the board because our team loves PSAI. This year for Nuts and Bolts in Phoenix we had 7 members of our Green Latrine team there - that was awesome! I hope to join the board and continue building value in the PSAI for all our companies to profit from.
Rich Stricklett, A King’s Throne
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I carry Midwestern values of hard work, service, and integrity into every aspect of my life. I attended the University of Nebraska and later continued my education at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), where I maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned Dean’s List honors every semester.
Currently, I serve as General Manager at A King’s Throne, a portable sanitation company where I’ve proudly worked for nearly seven years. My journey began in the yard—hands-on and humble—and I worked my way up through every level of the operation. This path has given me a deep appreciation for frontline employees and a grounded understanding of leadership from the ground up.
Outside of work, I’m dedicated to my community and faith. I serve as Deacon of Worship at Grandview Church and Vice President of our Homeowners Association. I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and with Godspeed Equine, a program that uses horse therapy to help at-risk teens find healing and direction. These roles reflect my passion for service, mentorship, and uplifting those around me.
I believe strong leadership means being approachable, listening first, and following through. Whether it’s in the field, in a boardroom, or in the community, I strive to be a consistent and trusted voice. I'm excited for the opportunity to contribute my experience, values, and commitment to service as a board member.
To hear directly from the candidates, join us for our virtual Meet the Candidates: Operators session on Tuesday, August 5 at 2 PM ET / 1 PM CT. Hosted by Executive Director Veronica Crosier and Leadership Development Committee Chair Ross Ambrose, the session will feature moderated Q&A, candidate insights, and time for attendees to submit questions. This session is free for PSAI members and not accessible to non-members.
We encourage all Operator members to attend the upcoming session and take an active role in the election process. Your company’s vote is your voice—make sure it’s informed and impactful.
